Google Local Search for Local Businesses
Google Local Search allows small and local businesses who are trying to compete online in the Search Engine pages to have a fair shot at getting traffic-based results on their location without having to have high ranking sites.
It was recently reported that Google search queries are getting longer, and these generic, 1- and 2-word queries are declining. Maybe some of that is due to searchers not being happy with the results after using a generic term like “restaurants” or “real estate agents.” Google’s AdWords keyword tool says there were about 6 million searches for “restaurants” for a certain period of time. Now there’s a big possibility that searchers will be happy that they will be able to get local results for such a broad term enough to influence the overall searcher behavior.
Google Local Searches allow searchers to find industries that are local to them who can quickly provide these more significant listings above the organic results that may be outside of their immediate area.
